Datamining used to make me super nervous because I was terrified people would lose their minds making assumptions based on incomplete info. Now I kinda just say "fuck it let's ball" and just watch the speculation train choo choo down the tracks. It helps that I am giga hyped about what's coming.

Wrote a huge thread but ain't nobody reading that, so tldr I'd say the hype vs. datamining balance is in a pretty good place. As long as dataminers provide as much context as possible when posting things and respect the mostly unwritten boundaries/hints as to what not to post, it'll stay that way.

@aggrend.bsky.social after seeing the Naxx PTR today, was curious if we should kinda expect multiple difficulties going forward in the sod raids? Is that a design strategy the team has decided is better than a single raid difficulty?

Dude I'm hyped too. You and the team have made more than worthy additions to classic, and everything is genuinely so great. I like how dungeons and old raid content is relevant, and I love the neat little stories you are hiding in. I cannot wait for the conclusion of the echoing orbs story!

A lot of Resto Shaman were hoping Healing Rain would get buffs from the Naxx set bonuses, which it doesn't seem like from the datamine. What's the design reasoning around supporting Overload instead of Healing Rain for most of SoD? It would be fun to get more set bonuses that work with healing runes
