At some point while playing with my "/ on an encrypted LV" install, I broke X. And this is a problem because this system refuses to start any virtual consoles; it's X or nothing. radeon is automatically loaded, and that calls vga_remove_vgacon(), so no ttys for you. This is actually a PITA,
