My new favorite pastime is checking websites for AI generated images. Just kidding but I love the new EU rules, so informative. I hope people will take them seriously and comply with them. AI generated images need to be marked in a professional context, but not in a private context.

The EU AI Act's disclosure requirement is a transparency rule, not a quality filter. Marking doesn't prove provenance or prevent deepfakes, it just signals origin. The real control lies in cryptographic signing of the asset, not the label.
