2/20 UKMTO Warning 134-26 records one vessel struck by an unknown projectile while transiting Hormuz. Its report time was 23:00 UTC on 12 September, but its identity, precise position, route, cargo, damage, crew condition and environmental impact remain unknown this morning. #MaritimeSecurity

3/20 Separately, Iran reports that a commercial vessel was struck near Hengam Island and Qeshm’s Shib Deraz coast at about 05:00 local time. One person was reportedly killed and three injured, but we still lack the vessel’s name, IMO number, type, cargo, exact position, flag or registration.

4/20 These reports should not yet be combined. The Iranian event was placed around 01:30 UTC, roughly two and a half hours after the UKMTO received its earlier report. Unless one timestamp is corrected, the responsible assessment is two incident files and potentially two vessels attacked.
