It is the gateway to the Red Sea and very vulnerable to Houthi attack and disruption - and to do so would be like when the container vessel closed Suez a few years ago… 1165

Or is the Red Sea deep enough for that not to be a problem? If the former, then the risk may be greater than just getting through Bab el Mandeb. 120
