Douglas with Cairn Terrier Ella🐶🙂 @cairn3dogs.bsky.social · 03/12/2024

Ella's ears are back because she's hearing the garbage trucks and other outside noises. She used to not care that much, but as she's gotten older she's more bothered. She's terrified of the noisier leaf blowers that are out now. I dislike them because of how they scare her.😠 #cairnterrier

Brindle cairn terrier sitting on carpeted floor with ears back and hearing noises from outside.

I can relate to this as our male Cairn is very similar. Terrified of fireworks, hates loud noises. No walks when landed gentry decide that day to shoot birds out of the sky. Pheasants usually. Not impressed. I always know when it is because several pheasant hide in our garden.

Oh, was Ella hard of hearing? Our daughter doesn't like loud noises either! She is especially afraid of fireworks 🎇Poor girl shakes when fireworks go off in the neighborhood😔.
