A cluster of Eastern Red Columbine flower buds. One is nearly open. It's got a kind of pinkish meat color and with a fleshy texture covered in tiny hairs. The top of the bud has a cluster of horns that look like a claw. Plant native plants to enjoy these kinds of freakish wonders.
