4) In addition, the patients must have received immunoadsorption in a previous trial. The must have had an initial positive response to the immunonadsorption followed by a worsening afterwards. Such a pattern suggest that there was a positive effect but it wasn't sustained.

5) Participants must have PAIS (so post-infectious) and meet the Canadian criteria for ME/CFS, including post-exertional malaise lasting more than 14 hours. The primary outcome for the trial is the SF-36 subscale for physical functioning.

6) Other outcomes include symptom questionnaires such as COMPASS-31, Bell Disability Scale, Fatigue Severity Score, the DSQ-PEM but also more objective outcomes such as the NASA 10-minute Lean Test, daily step count, and repetitive hand-grip testing.
