While I appreciate the sentiment in a “we all need a break” sort of way, I really don’t like that this statement puts the onus on the reader—who, undoubtedly, will have struggles of their own—to maintain contact with loved ones. It delivers a “you don’t have it as bad off as other people” message. 👎
