Khyron [ I ♡ Classic Harley ] @lordkhyron.bsky.social · 12/12/2024Given just how beautiful that Hamlet piece was I have to join. Very delicate and refined looking. Which ofc means I need to submit my pinnacle of refined noblewomen, Sofia, formerly Paravallo, Conditor. Sadly, my art does not meet the way I characterized her in quality. ![This is a mouse color sketch I made over a loose paper sketch. I have a really pretty inspiration image, but it's not an image of her per se, rather just an image that fits her well.
She is an Arxiot in my Arxe setting, which are basically hellenic equivalents (with Arxe being levantine Sicily). Her family, the Paravallons, were the former rulers of Arxe, having themselves invade it, but the Mearhans would invade them in turn, usurping them as rulers of the island.
Thankfully for the Arxiots, the Mearhans are both more focused on faith and on power than they are on beauty, so they didn't take nearly all of the royal objects and/or building, and so Sofia (born a few generations post conquest of Arxe by the Mearhans) grew up pretty much as if she was a direct princess.
In the "current day" of the Arxe setting, she fell in love with and wed Gabriel Conditor (ergo the formerly Paravallo), the prince and heir of Arxe. Thankfully, Gabriel's grandfather Robert (the king) allowed the marraige. Thus, in a funny twist of fate, the Paravallos have a bit of their line back into the royal sphere, though there name wasn't destined to rule again.
(Mearhans are roughly norman equivalents, the Arxe setting is about 11th century equivalent, very low fantasy. I based the initial concept [them invading Arxe] of the norman invasion of sicily irl.)](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:svbtdfogdiit2wipefn4ppjm/bafkreidnipte5gt6gv4rqwzookozsihgcf6ph6gffp7yld5bzopfoaojna)
