The Hank G ordeal is kinda bumming me out because 1) he was accused of using AI for something he didn't use it on, he just used a phrase some people associate with AI 2) the "research" usage is not substantially different from a Google search at this point

I don't use it and I discourage its use, but I do have to admit that asking it to give you a bunch of links on a topic is probably more efficient (in terms of both time and environmental resources) than using any search engine now that they all suck

It's just the feeling that creators are going to keep getting accused of using gen AI because its outputs are based on our work and because there's a subset of people who are more invested in being "anti-AI" than in understanding the actual issues it poses :/
