@goodlawproject.org ... I know this seems trivial compared to some of the things you're doing ... but isn't this legally dodgy ground with the HMRC forcing the self-employed to pay one of a few government approved private companies in order to legally file a tax return which is unavoidable?
The government's "Making Tax Digital" programme basically means that if you're self-employed you will be legally required to pay one of a small group of HMRC approved software companies an annual subscription in order to file your tax returns whereas before you didn't.
That seems corrupt.
Is it?
