Will Weaver 📸 @willweaverrva.bsky.social · 28/08/2026Yup. The lengths that Nintendo of America went to in order to "degirlify" Panel de Pon were insane, to the point that I think there's a fair number of people who are more familiar with this being Pokémon Puzzle League rather than Tetris Attack. 250
Skye @skymoogle.bsky.social · 29/08/2026Honestly, there is a certain charm about Pokémon Puzzle League, and I'm glad it exists. 320
Chaotic-Strike @chaotic-strike.bsky.social · 29/08/2026Puzzle League was a reskin of the cancelled PDP N64 sequel that eventually got packaged on the GC Puzzle Collection in JPN. PDP also didn’t do that great in Japan either, which is why for the GB version they tried to market it again with the Yoshi skin there too. ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%83%... 330
Will Weaver 📸 @willweaverrva.bsky.social · 29/08/2026Fair point, honestly. It's a reskin but a very good one. 010
+Surielle [COMMS CLOPEN] @cookieblobber.bsky.social · 29/08/2026I keep forgetting it's technically the first ever western only Pokemon game, cuz Japan only ended up getting the Panel De Pon version (and even then that ended up releasing on GameCube insted) Even if they did get this game, they would not at all catch most of the music references in the game 130
