John Fenster @mountmccabe.bsky.social · 25/05/2026Yesterday the crow was sitting on the bird feeder so I knew it was empty but was uninterested in the feeder after I filled it or any peanuts, etc. Then today it was negotiating with two blue jays in the cherry blossom tree 210 2
John Fenster @mountmccabe.bsky.social · 25/05/2026The crow was on the driveway looking at peanuts and puppy chow when a blue jay flew into the nearby cherry blossom tree. Crow went in the tree and a second blue jay joined. Then the jays went to the food on the driveway one by one, selecting a piece them flying away 210 2
Dr. Kendra Preston Leonard (she/her) @kleonardphd.bsky.social · 25/05/2026I feel like jays are the hires muscle of the bird world. They used to dive-bomb my elderly cat when he slept outside (this was back in the days when not everyone knew to keep cats indoors or in a catio). 110 1
John Fenster @mountmccabe.bsky.social · 25/05/2026While I stood on the driveway the crow flew to the front of the garage, then to the diagonal wire to the house essentially directly over me, then to the garden bed wall where I left treats. Actually picked up the bag but didn't get very far with it 010 1
