#threethings

$: buy a book that will educate you (local store, bookshop dot org or thriftbooks dot com are good options)

time: learn three things about the budget bill the House just passed. Tell each thing to at least one other person. This can be non-confrontational. "Mom, I'm seeing the budget bill cuts Medicare by $500 billion -- are you and Dad going to be okay?" If she argues, drop it. You're planting seeds.

prep: if you're in a neighborhood group, ask if there is anyone who would like some help with gardening tasks this summer. Many older gardeners struggle with the physical labor, but have a wealth of knowledge (and zucchini!) to share.
