Every now and then I think about what could have been possible if Bodnar had run as a Dem (which his entire enterprise is founded on) in a cycle where incumbents and the GOP are on the outs and the GOP candidate is a Trump US attorney handpicked by the incumbent GOP senator.
we're seeing it in the senate and we're seeing it in the house: a lot of Rs who haven't had to run a competitive general election in years - or ever, really - are suddenly in a position where they have to, and none of them know how to do it
