a robot hangs out with friends
friend 1: "so like how long are you gonna keep wearing the default settings?"
friend 2: "yeah you'd look cute with your own style!"
off screen friend: "it should be easy with the holo settings"
next panel the robot is looking at themselves in the mirror
thinks: i want... i want to look cool... beautiful... effortlessly chic... long hair looks timeless, right?
they opens their eyes and their holo settings have changed their face into an identical replica of friend 1
thinks, in horror: wait no! that's not--

they dispel the holo face thinking: no, no! i can't just copy get! that's not me! i won't self actualize unless i become a true, original being... i must become myself.
thinks: maybe not long hair. too unapproachable. i'm not cool enough to pull it off. simple... but cute...
the robot changes their face again, but it becomes the same as friend 2. "no! not again!"
changes face: i'm being too conceited! i can't just copy them and expect to self actualize! more me! more... down to earth!
Still becomes the face of another friend. over and over the face is not their own.
these aren't me/they can't be me/i'm supposed... TO BE...!
in the end they are left the same as they started, forlorn looking in the mirror.
i can't just be nothing...
