We learned at the LEAG mtg. yesterday that NASA is still pursuing the PROMISE rover concept. We still don't have a mission profile, purpose, or cost estimate.
Isaacman said that if it costs >20% of Casey's low end estimate (~$145M), then "we simply will not fly it." Where is NASA's cost analysis?
It has been a month. Does Administrator Isaacman have answers to these questions or any of the issues raised by Casey's analysis? Has NASA developed their own estimated cost for PROMISE? Defined a rough mission profile, even?
Tell us why this isn't rank bullshit that will harm our space program.
