Good, and very important lil thread.
I had people telling me "don't try to get into game narrative" when I was a jr and times in the industry were GOOD. Trust me, I understand feeling angry with the industry but telling people this kind of thing is both deeply unhelpful and makes you seem sus.
@rj.dcellgames.comcomplicated feelings on this because the industry (tbh all industry) is in the Worst Place and finding work and/or money can feel impossible
but even inside that: if someone is telling you to get out of games because there's "no future" here as anything beyond a dark joke, i'd raise an eyebrow
