After careful discussion, we have added this additional provision to our session description. We're also thrilled to welcome the incredible @samwinkler.bsky.social to our all-star lineup of reviewers! So if you're a writer coming to GDC, bring your genuine, human-written materials!

As a game writer or narrative designer, your portfolio is one of the most critical tools for getting hired... So bring yours here! Whether you're an industry hopeful or a veteran writer or narrative designer looking to spruce up your samples, this portfolio workshop will provide individualized feedback on your materials from Senior and Lead-level narrative industry peers. Please bring either a printed copy of your portfolio or have it digitally accessible via your laptop or tablet. As you will be meeting 1:1 with a reviewer, spots are very limited and will be assigned on a first-come first-serve basis.

Please be aware we will not review samples produced by or with AI. Our reviewers are additionally allowed to use their personal discretion for declining samples if found to be in violation of this policy.

As someone who just discovered their *entire narrative portfolio* was scraped by generative AI, I really appreciate you making that clear. I'm trying to look at the positive like, "Now I get to make a whole new portfolio", but it really sucks that ChatGPT is now vomiting everything I've worked on.

This is seperate from the insanity that is dealing with AI-"writing" but will the portfolio review primarily be focused on writing samples? I.e. should I bring only writing samples or is quest designs and other non-writing work also good to bring?

I hate what the need to add to add this implies.
