Isn’t it only sent to VAR if it’s a clear and obvious error?
Whether we think it was a clear goalscoring opportunity or not - and it’s being argued both ways - if it’s agreed there is a debate to be had then it can’t be deemed a clear and obvious error. So VAR should not have got involved.
