Dr Michael Naughton and co-authors found that inappropriate prescribing leads to 360,000 additional GP consultations every year. Approx 1 in 1,000 GP appointments could potentially be avoided by eliminating inappropriate prescribing in middle-aged adults. Full paper here: doi.org/10.1136/bmjo...
