Yep, and I think some of the dissatisfaction with the industry from the larger public can be traced back to this. I’m playing Final Fantasy 7 Remake for the first time, and there’s just no chance they’d release a game with an ecoterrorist group as the protagonists now. AAA space today is so dull.
