Margot has been lying about [SPOILER]. And now, everything is about to unravel. #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WIPSnips

Margot felt it snap. She almost heard it. Whatever it had been inside her keeping her going, whatever she had been holding on to.

Snap.

A roar, a blazing scream of pain and terror and fury, from the deepest pit of her stomach to her burning tongue.

She kicked a table, a chair. Sent them hurtling like skittles.

“Margot.” The sharp tone in Agatha’s voice made Margot freeze. “Stop. Please. Talk to me.”

“I can’t…” An excruciating lump had formed in Margot’s throat. She leaned forwards, staring at the whorls in the wood and taking her weight onto her hands, hiding her face. “I can’t. It’s all going wrong, it’s going wrong…”

“I think you’re lying with kind intentions. But you promised me: no more lies. Tell me what’s going on.”

“I’ve done something terrible, Agatha,” she whispered, her voice strangled by the lump. “Something terrible to another person. And I can’t take it back. And I can’t escape it.”
