Apparently my gallbladder was in REALLY rough shape. You know when the surgeon describes it as "full of pus, large stones and very angry" you know it wasn't good. So glad they put me on the fast track to have it out 🙏 Also they didn't let me keep the stones 🥺

Just don't eat anything greasy for a like a month, or you'll make yourself sick. After a month it should wear off. Also be aware that now spicy food will make your ass burn now. That never wears off.

Not the same, but when I was like 16 or 17, I had an appendectomy. Doc said as they removed it he noticed it was inflamed, had multiple abscesses and ruptured during removal. T'was not a fun time, Cap'n. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Unless they ended up doing the old/emergency version, there was nothing but goo after they took it out; the tubes are small, so they likely used a tool that broke everything down.

They let me keep my two biggest stones, which were easily double the size of the tubes they were supposed to fit through. The months of gallstone attacks were miserable, but I felt SO much better after a few weeks of being able to eat safely and sanely again.

I've had mine out as well (10+ years ago), just take your time the next couple weeks! You're going to be surprised how easily winded you get, and how greasy foods are going to affect you, watch what you eat!. Be ready, and speedy recovery!

My dad nearly died earlier this year because his gallbladder got obstructed and he was septic before they were able to remove it. Thankfully he's better now. I'm glad you are too.
