Hey new folks! I'm Kody. I make KEEPING TIME, a longform webcomic told in alternating timelines about two guys who after years of estrangement reunite, start a band, and - for better or worse - fall in love. 🎸 keepingtimecomic.com #webcomics

A comic page from KEEPING TIME. Daniel, a Japanese American man, has stopped playing a piano, and looks out towards Denver, a blond punk in a leather jacket with a neck tattoo who is standing in front of him like he's seen a ghost. The blue light of the stage clashes with the warm light of the bar that illuminates Denver's back. The narration reads, "… the rest of the song suddenly comes flooding back to you." A caption title says, "CHAPTER 1: 2:45 AM"

A comic panel that's a worm's eye view comic panel of someone on a skateboard in a south Chicago neighborhood in winter. We can see the bottom of their board and their shoes, and slush on the street. The caption reads, "Then."

A comic panel from KEEPING TIME. A speaker continues from the last page, off-panel, "...but wait until you go on tonight at 8pm." The caption reads, "Now." Three boys are playing instruments in a small practice studio. Flight cases, guitar amps, and ephemera stand around the corners of the room. On the walls behind them, a poster looking awfully similar to a Ted Leo & the Pharmacists show poster in Chicago and a Yeah Yeah Yeah's album cover hang on the wall.

Part of a comic page from the webcomic KEEPING TIME.

Panel 1: A close up of Stef, the bassist, his eyes closed beneath his baseball cap. Stark, evenly spaced together lines of music denote the even strumming of his bass guitar.

Panel 2: Denver plays a chord far up the neck of his Gibson Les Paul, frowning slightly. The lines symbolizing his music swing wildly from high to low.

Panel 3: Finally, the drummer, is grinning as he plays the drums, his music lines broken up in a staccato pattern. Beneath all his scruffy beard stubble, his giant grin is wide enough to make up for how neither of his bandmates weren't smiling at all.

A full color comic page of two guys sitting at the bottom of the staircase in an alleyway at night. Dumpsters, trash, wooden palettes, and fire escapes clutter the background. Everything is awash in cool teals and blues, except for a singular warm yellow light coming from the right.

Part of a comic page from KEEPING TIME, tracking a man in winter clothes waiting outside a restaurant. A second man in Burberry approaches and asks, "You waiting for a William? Thought so. Sorry about the time. I'm William."

A stylized digital drawing of Diners' Blue Broderick playing the guitar and singing into a microphone, with lyrics from "Working On My Dreams" written in a playful dialogue balloon. Special attention is given to the light falling on Blue's really lovely, fluffy hair.

A colored comic panel of a woman in a winter parka with a very poofy fur hood pulled up. She's just exited a building and is waving. The background behind her is an alley with dumpsters and trash.
