Nihilistic Wrong Hordak 🏳️⚧️ @shadow27.bsky.social · 27/06/2026I've got a real level of not caring about curent gritty-realistic comics because they fail so glaringly against life (100% subjective, btw.) Your ancient, secret, assassin cabal kills ppl who prey on children but gave Epstein & Trump a walk? 1/ 220
Nihilistic Wrong Hordak 🏳️⚧️ @shadow27.bsky.social · 27/06/2026Post-9/11 Super books struggled with incorporating culture shattering change. BKV's "Ex Machina" took it head on. One tower gets saved by nobody and the series talks directly to the dichotomy of comic reality & the real world. (The hero is a comic nerd.) 2/ 121
Nihilistic Wrong Hordak 🏳️⚧️ @shadow27.bsky.social · 27/06/2026Much hero stuff boils down to cop vs cop, because many are cops, or used to be cops, or work w/ cops. Cap is currently fighting US Army thugs in Latveria while working for the US govt. Cop v Cop. Babs riding a corpse down a mountain, while puerile, interests me more. #ComicShopTalk 3/3 020
