This is what the State of Florida is doing to people like fellow birder and photographer @rhapsodysblues.bsky.social . I know people's budgets are hurting right now, but hopefully, maybe with even small donations from enough of us, we can help. 🪶

Florida may hire an AI vendor to help decide which hungry families get grocery assistance
The new state budget includes a $4 million contract for a vendor that can use machine learning to make eligibility decisions for an anti-hunger program that feeds nearly 2 million Florida families.
@rhapsodysblues.bsky.socialIf anyone can donate to help with groceries, SNAP benefits say they are "processing" but the benefits are four days late. My food is completely dependent on this benefit. A Walmart grocery gift card is the best way to help. Thanks very much. Megan.e.rowell@gmail.com for Walmart. 🪶🥹❤️
