I can’t recall at this point if I’ve posted these here or not, but I figured you all would enjoy them! It’s some concept art and ideas for some Star Trek aliens who don’t really do clothes + Data and Geordi on an away mission! I think it has some potential. 👀💛✨ The Next Generation✨2020✨Daforge

Some sketches and notes describing this planet and the humanoid aliens who inhabit it!

First off: a sketch of a newborn baby wrapped in a cloth. The notes say:
“• newborn babies clothed IMMEDIATELY after birth and until they can be shown to their community
• sex and other info about baby not determined until that time”

Below: a sketch of a blindfolded figure wrapped in cloth from head to toe. The notes say:
“• figure a symbol of things such as exclusion, deception, loneliness
• seen in places such as movies/art/paintings
• big part of media”

To the right: a sketch of some clear buildings with spires. The notes say:
“• clear materials used in building (except for tourist areas)
• privacy is a foreign concept”

Some sketches and notes describing this planet and the humanoid aliens who inhabit it!

Top left: a sketch of someone with their hands on their hips, seen from behind. Five dots run along either side of their spine. The notes say:
“• simple eye structures run down back”

Middle right: a sketch of someone sitting on a ledge and running a hand through their hair. The notes say:
“• physical features directly tell others personality/etc.
• body language goes deeper
• all "assumptions" are correct and based on instinct
• not explainable to visitors (complex!)”

Bottom left: a sketch of a person who is blindfolded and has cloth partially wrapped around their hips. The notes say:
“• covering any part of oneself isolates them from their community
• they’re not seen or understood if covered
• seeing/understanding themselves comes from BEING fully seen/understood
• covering eyes most offensive/seen as HIGHLY selfish
• ‘If I’m not seen, do I exist?’”

Data and Geordi La Forge from Star Trek: The Next Generation are observing the customs* of the aliens I just described! They are naked, and Data is carrying Geordi bridal style. Geordi has a lot to say, but Data has a lot to think!

*At first, Geordi’s VISOR would cause a stir (since it covers his eyes). But their hosts grow to appreciate it once he explains how it works and that it helps him to see!

Data is sitting behind Geordi and painting his back with “The Starry Night” by Vincent van Goph. Geordi is looking back at Data’s work and seeming pleased!

Seeing all Data's joints and seams makes me WEAK 🤤💖 Just as weak as seeing them be all lovey on eachother! Fantastic little concept for a surprisingly romantic away mission 😏💖
