I thought this election was going to be defined by age, w/ younger voters going for Abdul and older voters going for Stevens, but it seems the dividing lines in the coalitions were more so about class than anything else. Abdul did really well with retirees, but not with middle aged suburbanites.

Stevens seemingly did fine with younger voters, but not in smaller cities and college towns. Remains to be seen in the general, but Abdul outperforming in swing counties could be a sign that lefty economic populism could be breaking through with swing voters.
