Oh, forgot to mention @aesonique.itch.io - We talked about a bear trap that drops a bear. Well, here you go. (From Chapter 16 of Quantum Error - bobbinry.com/read/strider...)

“No!” I shouted as a bolt of magic flew forward and struck the trigger. I cursed and grabbed Selene, throwing her into Vanessa and sending them both stumbling back. The next thing I knew, a huge weight hit me from above and threw me forward, crushing me against the steel jaw of the trap. Pain seared my chest, and I felt a majority of my hit points leaving me in but a moment, and it continued to drop rapidly. I felt like I was being torn in half. Despite the two-inch teeth, I was flat against the ground, with a roaring weight standing on top of me.

Great, I thought. I’m going to die to a pun.

Bear Trap - Level 10

At first glance, it’s just a standard iron bear trap—rusted jaws, pressure plate, teeth dulled with age. It looks almost disappointing.
That’s because the trap isn’t for your leg.

Classification: Trick / Ambush
Trigger: Pressure plate or careless interaction
Detection Difficulty: Moderate
Disarm Difficulty: Easy
On Trigger: Gravity-Assisted Predator Deployment

A Level 10 Bear drops from above, landing directly on the nearest target.
- Target takes Serious physical damage from impact
- Target is Knocked Down or Staggered for 1 round
- Bear immediately enters combat, hostile to all
