Who the hell does Josh Simons think he is to tell the people of Makerfield that he is standing aside to give his seat to Andy Burnham? Could he, and Andy Burnham, if he chooses to stand, show more DISRESPECT to the voters than making this sound like a done deal and a coronation. 1/2

Ideal scenario, Burnham doesn’t win, seat goes to another party 1 MP has resigned for no reason, Burnham out of a job and Streeting ends up on the back benches. Maybe they’ll all learn a lesson from this.
