C082 - The fight for the arctic is still going on and it will have the same effect of introduced species, destruction of natural order. Original art was made in 2014, this is its remake in 2019 after the original was lost in a hdd failure. #creature #collage #invasive #environmental #destruction

A collage work, a creature resembling a penguin that is made up of parts that hints of oil production and bureaucracy standing on a piece of floating ice and a pipe going down. The composition is finalized with major oil companies logos at the bottom. This piece was made after the news of the race of countries trying to get rights for oil exploration in the arctic that resonates environmental disasters to come, hence the figure resembling a penguin is used as an allegory since they do not live in the northern hemisphere, and introduced species have always resulted in devastation for the local environment.
