Finishing Shinju, but here’s an Invincible AU my buddy and I whipped up using our ocs Helena and Khannus in lieu of Debbie and Nolan. Helena is a mech pilot with a smaller suit while I learn to draw proper mechs lmao Kinda proud of my Invincible art style attempt in pic 1 #oc #originalcharacter

Rough sketches trying to be like the Invincible animated art style. On the right is a more complete drawing of a Japanese-American woman with dyed blue hair and piercings, holding a screwdriver in a tanktop and shorts. Next to her is a rougher sketch of a muscular and tall man with pale curly hair in a half updo and something between a hero suit and knight’s armor, including a cape

A sketch of helena’s small mech suit. It consists of chunky blue body pieces with silver bits around joints, black bodysuit in exposed areas, and a full helmet. The figure is gender ambiguous, if masculine-leaning

Rough sketch of Khannus flying in hero getup holding Helena, suited up wih a crack in her helmet exposing her eyebrow piercing as blood from an injury drips. Khannus’s cape billows behind the both of them. Beside them is written: “IK he’s got a helmet, but this is for [a star] dramatic effect [a star] lmao”

A doodle of Khannus flying Helena as a civilian. He looks confused and asks, “Don’t you fly all the time?” Helena clings to him and shouts, “In the suit!”

Bonus: this is REAL rough but here’s a rough idea I had for Helena a couple decades after she and Khannus first met Dunno why i just wanted to show she continued being a hero and that snowballed into her arm canonically being torn off lol. Reattach or replace with tech, that’s the questtion

Really rough sketches of Helena in her mid-40s. Still dyed hair and piercings, but she’s gained some weight and smile lines. The center doodle includes scars with the largest on her left arm. A smaller, much rougher doodle to the left has that scarred arm replaced with cybernetics. A smaller doodle of me contemplating sits on the right.
