#FourComics that made me fall in love with comics. Explanations in alt text.

Cover of Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld #1

This was the first comic I ever bought off a spinner rack. I was an 11 year old girl who was an obsessive reader and a rock hound so this practically jumped into my hands.

Cover of ElfQuest #1 by WaRP Graphics.

I dare anybody to open this book in the 80s and not be completely blown away by the art. Plus it read like a novel.

Cover of Gambit #1

X-Men was the first mainstream non-crossover comic I ever liked. Gambit was my favorite character so his mini was a given.

Cover of Sandman, Dream of 1000 Cats

It makes me uncomfortable now but I was a 90s goth so Sandman was one of my favorites.
