Pinktober: Back From The Dead- Day 10: #BlackFootedFerret
This North American mustelid feeds primarily on prairie dogs, and was declared extinct in 1979. It has since bounced back and forth between endangered and extinct status in the wild.... But in 2021, the first successful clone was introduced to the public, leading to more clone births in 2024 and litters produced naturally by the clones subsequently. They are currently listed as Endangered.
