The Police and Crime Commissioner and the Chief Constable in charge of Cardiff need to investigate what seems to be ridiculous over-reaction on the part of the local police. It is the job of local politicians to put pressure on the PCC & the CC to do so.

As in the US, the Overton Window has been shifted so far to the right that abhorrent behavior is acceptable to a significant proportion of the population, meaning "middle of the road" is someone willing to negotiate with abhorrent terms on the table.
