Introduction to Ruby, a yuriful SFW short-form writer guest on Women of Progress: a Jayvik Yuri Zine. Ruby uses they/them pronouns. Their icon is of Kirby with Jayce Talis’s slit eyebrow and tooth gap. They can be found on Bluesky at rig-bee.

Their bio reads as follows:
“Ruby has crawled out of the FFXIV Diadem mines, yuri jayvik in hand! They've got a lot of time to think down there, and they're grateful for the opportunity to share those thoughts and passion with you all. So many folks in the jayvik community have embraced all kinds of love and all kinds of identity, and Ruby is excited and honored to have been asked to come and share their particular slice of jayvik possibility with you.”

Their writing sample reads as follows:
“I’m supposed to be getting married,” Jayce explained.
“To whom?”
“I don’t know,” she admitted. “They’ve called her the Creature all this time… But I don’t really
care for that name.”
“Neither do I.”
“You’ve heard of her, then? The woman I’m supposed to marry?”
The stranger stepped closer, and seemed emboldened when Jayce did not step away. She
reached out a hand, taking Jayce’s in her own, her eyes catching on the blue rune embedded in
her skin.
The stranger kissed the rune, and Jayce felt as if her heart was on fire.
“I am the woman you’re supposed to marry. I think, anyway.”
Jayce positively beamed. “Oh, perfect. You’re perfect.””
