Why are Democrats so weak in the face of Donald Trump's attack on democracy? - LGBTQ Nation

In one of the worst weeks for the country, Democrats took a breather instead of pushing back against Trump.

Because most of them are millionaires too and just don't have a grip on what this feels like to ordinary folks. AOC is about the only one I've seen so far, and that's precisely because she's working class.

AOC said on the day of the inauguration that she would be in cold ground before she stops fighting Nazis, while every other dem was saying shit about eggs. She seems to be the only dem in DC who is awake.

My honest opinion is that they’re waiting to formulate the most strategic response they can, because they know their recent tactics haven’t been favorable to the voter base. The problem is that there is absolutely no time to waste doing that and right now is when that voter base needs them the most.

It’s the Ferber method for colic, developmentally disabled MAGA electorates: this is what the country wanted, so fine, now they’re going to have to sit in their own shit and cry and finally go back to sleep. I’ll be in the other room with the other “elites” and my AirPodPros until then.

Amid the last 24 hours of chaos, confusion and fear that Trump unleashed with his unconstitutional freeze on federal grants, Democrats have begun to show something I haven't seen since Nov: they've got some fight in them again. www.huffpost.com/entry/democr...

'A 5 Alarm F-ing Fire': Trump's Federal Funding Freeze Is Jolting Some Dems Into Fight Mode

"The Senate must not be business as usual," warned Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) as nearly two dozen Democrats cast a protest vote on a Trump nominee.

First mistake the elites of the Democratic Party made was shoving aside and not running the guy who won in 2020 against the guy who lost in 2020. The guy who was able to reach out to the working class, and fix the mess left behind by the inarticulate idiot who preceded him and followed him.
