Pugwash @lucky-lefty-nz.bsky.social · 03/08/2026New Zealand was very much under the thumb of colonial rule in WWI, and their attitude towards conscientious Objectors was brutal. Many were severely beaten while incarcerated, others were forcibly deported to the front lines. The British were good at sending colonial troops into the worst battles. 000
