I appreciate where this is coming from. but i feel like the more obvious rule is, you can't blame "wokeness" or "DEI" on why you didn't get a job/tenure. Not every tenured prof writes a book; not all universities are research institutions.

No more 'why I left academia' takes from dudes that never got their monograph out (in book fields).
'oh sure, I got a gold-plated academic job and bailed out in advance of the tenure decision without a book out, but it was BECAUSE OF WOKE!!'
