THREAD. This show has a consistency issue when it comes to—I'll say the Doctor's wrath. But this era of the show seems especially intent on the Doctor being above any type of retribution despite whatever violence he's witnessing or experiencing directly. And it frames these "outbursts" as OOC...

...when like the guiding principle of the modern era of Who—and a thing RTD explicitly and aggressively reiterates in his initial run—is that the Doctor is very much This Way and needs a companion to not be This Way. They seem unwilling to let the Doctor be... on his bullshit?

IDK if it's a Disney thing, but while there are so many callbacks to earlier Doctors, seasons, etc. the show seems to operate from the assumption that we do not know this mf? Like... this is not new or even surprising behavior? And Bel's response is fair but ultimately shallow.
