a) in our system there are currently a maximum of two truly viable candidates in any election worth discussing; anything else is a wasted vanity vote designed to fluff your ego b) one person's beloved candidate is someone else's evil. regarding a, the reason this is coming up is because of the democratic primary, in which there are more than two options. all this preemptive hypothetical vote shaming only signals that evil-lite is good enough, you can and should ask for more BEFORE it actually comes down to two options

I agree, you should vote for the best options in the primary, when you will have many good choices, rather than the bad ones but it will be true about the general election after, regardless of who wins if you *can* vote for Dems in the general and *don't,* you are an enemy of humanity
