Time for a vent-art-post because the pervasive nature of genAI has got me down, and it’s so frustrating to hear folks like “I have to use genAI, I don’t have any artistic talent!” Plot twist: neither do I.

When folks come up to my table like “oh you’re so talented!” I gently correct and say I’m very skilled. Because a skill can be learned, and that’s what I’ve done. Over 25 years. It’s not easy. It takes time, and effort. But I did it. And so can anyone else. Pick up the pencil.
