what you are doing is trying to keep & maintain the lipid layer of your skin. also, unfortunately, most scents irritate sensitive skin so u just gotta cut those out of your life.
i use la roche posay for my moisturizer. it works, doesn't feel oily for me, and doesn't leave a film.
