I'm down with technology, but I cannot fathom taking the effort to train an AI to use your voice, being More Valuable to someone than reading to your kids.

You're far more accomplished a parent than I, but even i know children ask questions, they want to interact with the story, and with the reader. Whoever thought this was a an idea doesn't read, only consumes movies, or have heard about these things 3rd hand. They dont want to parent

I'm not the type of person who insists that someone be Equally As Parental to have a wholly valid opinion on things either. But yeah, this is "Maybe you shouldn't have had kids then?" This is someone who'd be better off not having additional kids, if reading to them is such a burden.
