Everyone facing #homelessness should have quick access to safe, dignified shelter & permanent housing. But @HUDgov is proposing a rule that would make it harder and less safe for trans & nonbinary people — who already experience higher rates of homelessness — to access shelter.

What exactly is HUD proposing? This rule would end current protections – known as the Equal Access Rule – that require HUD-funded shelter providers to serve people according to their gender identity.
