Hop on. Hop off. Pay once. From Saturday 25 July to 31 August, the Weekend Hopper gives Londoners unlimited bus journeys on weekends for the cost of a single fare.

Excellent but it needs to be the same everywhere, otherwise it's confusing when people travel around

If all buses where deprivatised then this could be country wide not just in London.

The buses are nice inside. Some were hybrid when I was there years ago. Loved Borough Market (chocolate from the Caribbean for hot chocolate in a cup, Rabot 1745).

Inside public transport, upper floor of a London double-decker bus near Covent Garden at night. Cloth seats, some bright colors and well lit. Immaculately clean.

Crossing the street near Borough Market a cleaner hybrid double-decker bus passes.

Nice views from the upper floor of the double-decker buses. Brixton at dusk years ago, heading in the direction of Clapham.

Excellent mass transit in London. About 6 double-decker buses in this photo, lots of people waking on the sidewalk in Brixton. Older brick buildings, an old spire (with a clock?). Beautiful sky with the sun setting.

Seems real easy to pay, just tap your credit card. My cousin is a Londoner and she paid for all my fares when I visited years ago. A photo from my first trip in 1969, we may have flown BOAC from New York City. I remember the BOAC small travel bag that was probably given to all passengers as a gift.

A double-decker bus in London in 1969. An ad for bacon on the side of the bus. A car being driven in front of the bus. S.F Board store sign.
