Londoners have won the prestigious 2026 Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize. This global award celebrates how we’re changing life in London for the better - whether that's cutting journey times on the Elizabeth line, cleaning up our air, or building vibrant new neighbourhoods.

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan holds a framed certificate beside a circular glass award on a pedestal, with signage reading “Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize – Award Ceremony & Banquet – 15 June 2026 – London” in the background.

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan stands at a podium on a large conference stage at the World Cities Summit. Two large screens display the title “The London Story: How we built a better city for everyone” alongside “WCS 2026” branding and the event details “Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize Lecture – 15 June 2026, Singapore.”

I was in London in April watching Wolves FC at West Ham. Ok we lost 4-0 but had a great afternoon before the match (was 8pm kick off) . Tower Bridge. London Bridge. A few pubs. Absolutely no problem at all. A city at ease with itself. Don't believe the bullshit.
