Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan @london.gov.uk · 16/05/2026

Londoners will always reject those who seek to divide our communities. My statement on today’s events:

Graphic with the heading “Mayor of London” and a statement thanking Metropolitan Police, security, and transport staff for keeping London safe during weekend protests while protecting the right to protest peacefully. It notes that over 30 arrests have been made, protests have largely passed without major incident, and urges reporting hate crime. Signed by the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan.
